About
Welcome to Chalke Valley Cricket Club
Although Chalke Valley Cricket Club was founded only in 2000, there has been cricket played in the Valley for many years. In the 1950s and sixties, Bowerchalke CC was a force to be reckoned with, while Broad Chalke CC grew in strength from its beginnings in 1958 and was still going strong when it was renamed Chalke Valley at the turn of the millennium. In June 2008, the Club celebrated fifty years of cricket at Broad Chalke, but now a new era beckons as the Club prepares to move to an absolutely stunning brand new ground in Bowerchalke.
We are a buoyant, easy-going club, made up from people who live in and around the Valley and who love their cricket.
We play friendly weekend fixtures and take part in the Old Sarum Invitation League Twenty:20. We also offer coaching to Under 9s, Under12s, Under 15s and to anyone else who would like some help tweaking their bowling actions, improving their straight drives or honing their fielding.
On this website you will find all the latest news about the building of and fundraising for the new ground, details of our rules and constitution, future fixtures, news, contact details and photographs from throughout our combined histories
