Salisbury District Junior Cricket League

Under 11 League – Competition rules.

Season 2010

Ethos

The league is run to encourage young cricketers to play competitive cricket, but on a sportsmanlike basis. It is important that playing fairly has a greater priority than winning. Teams are expected to have an age range from under 9 (or younger) to under 11. Umpires are expected to encourage their own and the opposition players and offer words of advice, without trying to run the game. The League expects honesty in talking to opposing managers so that teams can be selected with regard to the strength of the opposition. This is a “starters” league, and walkovers are strongly discouraged.
